Broadway Camp 2016

DCAW Broadway Camp 2016:  The Best of Broadway

Students will be under the direction of the DeVos Center for Arts and Worship Director and professional actor Rick Hardenberg. Campers will participate in the creative process of putting together a musical theater “workshop” performance. Students will develop acting skills by playing characters in scenes, and by learning dance skills and vocal techniques through music and choreography. For their end-of-camp performance, students will showcase their skills during a workshop performance. No prior experience necessary. Camp limited to 25 participants.

Resident Choreographer:  Brian Martin

We are pleased to bring back Brian Martin, a current Broadway performer, as our resident choreographer.  Brian has been seen in the National Tour of Beauty and the Beast as Lumiere, and will be coming to use directly from his position as dance captain for the Broadway Tour of Bullets Over Broadway.

Brian is a graduate of Western Michigan University and studied Shakespeare at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.  He is thrilled to share his experience, training and passion for the arts with our summer camp students
